This weekend you can find the Traveler crew out on the road again...this time in Dawsonville! We're visiting the Mountain Moonshine Festival, which celebrates a time when beer and liquor were illegal, and running moonshine was a way of life for many living in Georgia's northeast mountains. The festival begins at 8 AM on Saturday, October 25th, and runs through Sunday, October 26th. Admission is free, and our friends at the festival tell us there's fun for the whole family! Also happening this weekend, the annual Sweetwater Festival. Held on Saturday, October 25th in historic downtown Milledgeville, the festival presents regional performers and artists and their work. Everything in music from bluegrass to rock 'n' roll will be featured. For those with an appetite, the popular BBQ cookoff contest will be held, with the winner receiving the People's Choice Award. Running from Friday, October 24th through Sunday, October 26th, the Southern Monster Truck Showdown is revving up in Gainesville! Featuring the monster trucks Ballistic, Monkey'n Around, Monster Patrol, Outlaw Clydesdale, and Ozz Monster, the Showdown promises to be a lot of LOUD fun!
