This Weekend in Georgia

This weekend in Georgia, pack up the kids and head out to the Enchanted Wilderness Light Show at the Okefenokee Swamp in Waycross. Tell the kids to get their Christmas lists in order because Santa Claus will be there, too! It's the event of the season that's not to be missed. Upcoming dates are Friday, December 19, and Saturday, December 20. For directions click here, and for more information, call 912-283-0583.

On Saturday, December 20, Kingsland is holding its monthly Royal District Market. There are lots of vendors, and plenty to see and do. The Royal District Market will be in downtown Kingsland on the corner of Lee and Lilly Streets from 10 AM until 2 PM. To find out more, contact the Kingsland Downtown Development Authority at 912-729-5613, or visit http://www.blogger.com/www.KingslandDDA.com.

For a little history lesson this weekend, take the family to December at Doctortown in Jesup. Commemorating the Civil War Battle for the Doctortown Railroad Trestle, the event includes a living history camp, "Life on the Altamaha River," river rafting, and sawmill town life. December at Doctortown takes place on Friday, December 19, and Saturday, December 20. For directions, click here.
