This Weekend in Georgia

This weekend, take a drive to historic Madison, Georgia, home to the Holiday Tour of Homes. The tour is sponsored by the Friends of Heritage Hall and the Morgan County Historical Society. Guests will tour five historic and private homes decorated for the Christmas season. While you're in town, also consider a stroll through Madison's downtown, which is home to delicious reatuarants and interesting shops. Morning tours and evening candlelight tours are available Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6. For more information, visit the Holiday Tour of Homes website.

Santa Claus is coming to town! That's right, Santa will make a personal appearance in Bremen, Georgia on Friday, December 5, from 6 to 8 pm. In addition to pictures with Santa, you can also enjoy the lighting of the town, cookies, hot chocolate, and other children's activities. Best of all, parking is free! For more information on Bremen, visit their website.

For our music fans, head out to Macon for Live at Five on First Friday. Don Erdman's Hotlanta Dixieland Jazz starts things off with music made famous by Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, and other early jazz legends. Country enthusiasts are not left out either! Cowboy Envy will be onhand to perform numbers made famous by Gene Autry, the Sons of the Pioneers, and Patsy Montana. Kids are welcome! Vist the Georgia Music Hall of Fame's website for more information.
