It's Labor Day Weekend, and here some some exciting things going on This Weekend in Georgia!

Pep Boys Auto 500

Atlanta Motor Speedway, Hampton, GA

Atlanta Motor Speedway will play host to the Labor Day weekend Pep Boys Auto 500 in what will also be the historic track's first NASCAR Sprint Cup night race. Expect a heated competition, as NASCAR's top drivers compete for late-season points before entering the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Atlanta Motor Speedway offers more than 870 acres of free parking for fans while attending events at the track. Kingsland Catfish Festival
Saturday, September 5 - Monday, September 7, 2009 Kingsland, Georgia
Head down to Kingsland, Georgia on the coast for the annual Catfish Festival this Saturday through Monday. This three-day event is one of the largest festivals in southeast Georgia, with a parade, arts and crafts, free concerts, and crispy southern-fried catfish. Here's their website! Swim the Warm Springs
Saturday, September 5 - Monday, September 7, 2009 Roosevelt's Little White House Historic Site, Warm Springs, Georgia
Saturday through Monday from 10 AM to 4 PM, the Little White House in Warm Springs is offering a chance to swim in the historic pools built by President Franklin Roosevelt as a place for therapy. Normally kept empty for presevation, the shallow pools will be filled with naturally warm spring water for this very special event. Don't miss this chance to swim the warm springs! This Weekend in Georgia

This weekend in Georgia, pack up the kids and head out to the Enchanted Wilderness Light Show at the Okefenokee Swamp in Waycross. Tell the kids to get their Christmas lists in order because Santa Claus will be there, too! It's the event of the season that's not to be missed. On Saturday, December 20, Kingsland is holding its monthly Royal District Market. There are lots of vendors, and plenty to see and do. The Royal District Market will be in downtown Kingsland on the corner of Lee and Lilly Streets from 10 AM until 2 PM. For a little history lesson this weekend, take the family to December at Doctortown in Jesup. Commemorating the Civil War Battle for the Doctortown Railroad Trestle, the event includes a living history camp, "Life on the Altamaha River," river rafting, and sawmill town life.
